Radio Frequency Skin Tightening – Bristol
Tighten Loose or Baggy Skin to Improve How You Look and Feel
Non-Surgical Face Lifts in the South West
What can our advanced fractional radio frequency (RF) skin tightening treatments do for you? Well, put quite simply it will tighten any loose or saggy skin you have on your body.
Perhaps your stomach is no longer firm after giving birth? Or, if you have lost a substantial amount of weight, which has resulted in you having loose skin under the arms or on your thighs, again we can help you tighten this to give you the confidence to wear sleeveless tops, bikinis and shorts once more when the temperature heats up.
However, there is so much more to radio frequency skin tightening than firming your skin’s appearance. Also known as the ‘non-surgical face lift’, radio frequency skin tightening is often used around the eyes to improve the appearance of fine wrinkles and to open up your eyes, making you look more youthful and vibrant. And if you have loose skin under your chin, better known as a ‘turkey neck’, it can offer you a subtle neck lift too.
Like our HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) it works by heating the skin up, however with RF, we are heating the dermal layer to only 40-42C and not the 65C that HIFU can achieve. This makes for a very relaxed and comfortable treatment. It’s the heating up of the dermis that encourages the new collagen production which results in the top layer of skin (epidermis layer) tightening.
The results can be noticed immediately after your treatment, with skin appearing tighter, firmer and more youthful. Plus, you’re sure to have a post-treatment glow that’ll only improve in the forthcoming weeks.
1. What makes fractional radio frequency so special?
Radio frequency skin tightening has been found to be exceptionally effective in the safe delivery of heat energy to the skin. It’s this build up of heat that induces an immediate contraction of collagen, which in turn stimulates the natural wound healing process and results in the production of new skin cells and collagen . This helps to ensure both safe and satisfying results, with no downtime.
2. Does radio frequency skin tightening hurt?
There can be some mild discomfort while the heat energy is being delivered, but it is temporary and a signal that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort thresholds vary from patient to patient and your practitioner will discuss comforting options for making the experience as pleasant as possible. Patients typically leave happy and excited about the benefits to come.
3. What can I expect afterwards?
You are able to return to your normal activities right away and there are no special measures you need to take. Your skin may appear a bit flushed immediately after the treatment, but any redness should disappear within a few hours.
The downtime is a lot shorter than with laser treatments and the risk of side effects is very minimal, but like all cosmetic treatments we cannot rule this out completely.
Research by Harth & Lischinsky in 2011, showed that 100% of all patients saw an improvement in the appearance of their skin after 3 months. While 87% of those went further to report the results they experienced as good to excellent. Need any more convincing?
4. Are non-surgical face lifts safe?
Radio frequency skin tightening has been around for over 50 years and is a well-established method of delivering heat to the skin’s tissue. However, in the last 10 years radio frequency has transformed dramatically for the better and our fractional radio frequency machine is at the forefront of this huge technological breakthrough.
5. What kind of results can I expect?
Radio frequency can lead to excellent improvements in the skin’s structure and tightening of lax and sagging skin. Plus, as we use a cutting-edge fractional radio frequency and not just the standard mono or bi polar radio frequency machines such as Accent, we can offer you exceptional results, which will also create skin resurfacing benefits for you and not just the desirable skin tightening effect.
With just one treatment, the regenerative process is initiated, but the full-effect will build gradually over the course of 8 to 12 weeks. Some patients may benefit from more than one treatment.
Patients reported firmer, tighter and better-fitting skin on the body, in areas such as the stomach, arms and legs, plus on the face and neck as well. There is also an invisible result from the procedure with the creation of new collagen, which gives the skin its youthfulness.
6. Who is a good candidate for radio frequency?
A good candidate for fractional radio frequency is someone with skin that has ‘relaxed’ to the point of looking, and often feeling, lax and saggy. Perhaps they’d have loose skin on the stomach, lappy skin under the arms or the thighs not looking toned.
Please note: While it does not duplicate the results of surgery, fractional radio frequency has proven to be an inviting alternative for those who are not ready for surgery.
